Dr. Wayne Boyer went home to be with the Lord last night. As a pastor and Executive Director of the Churches of God, General Conference, Wayne was a great missions motivator! He guided the CGGC to become the first denomination to join the Alliance for Saturation Church Planting following the collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe. He visited all of our missions fields prior to his retirement and was a gifted communicator of God's Word whether in the States or overseas.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 9th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Central Manor Church of God, 387 Penn Street, Washington Boro, PA.
Following private interment on Saturday morning, December 10th, a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. at Central Manor Church to celebrate his life.
Condolence cards may be sent to: Mrs. Kay Boyer, 53 Duncan Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
Many blessings to you as you remember Kay and the family in your prayers.

New Latino Ministry in Hilton Head, SC
The Resurrection Christian Community Church in Hilton Head, SC launched a couple years ago. Len Stubbs is their high energy Senior Pastor. The congregation is primarily Anglo, but also includes African-Americans and Latinos in their Sunday morning worship. The Lord has provided a wonderful facility for them on Spanish Wells Road in the NW part of the island. I was impressed with how the morning worship service was planned in such a way that the various cultures could feel "at home" and easily be engaged in the experience.
With many, many Latinos living on Hilton Head and the surrounding communities, Pastor Len saw the need to launch a Spanish-speaking worship service. After attempting to provide Spanish translation for an English-style worship, he discerned that finding key Latino leaders to develop their own style of service would be more effective.
The Lord led him to Daniel & Paoli Sanchez (originally from Chile) who sensed God's call and relocated from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. The revamped Latino outreach kicked off this summer. CGGC Latino Directors Caleb & Christina Acosta, along with some members from our Latino churches in Lancaster County, PA, visited the ministry in late summer to provide encouragement and guidance for Pastor Daniel & Paoli (pictured right). Since then, the ministry has steadily grown. They have Spanish-speaking worship on Sunday afternoon at 5pm and two home Bible studies during the week for discipleship and training.
Give thanks for the visionary leadership of the Stubbs and Sanchez families! Pray for their expanding ministries reaching out to diverse populations in the low country of South Carolina.

Latest News from Thailand
Continue praying for the people of Thailand. Today authorities in Bangkok were preparing critical flood prevention measures just hours ahead of an expected surge in the rising water throughout the city. Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has warned that nearly all the 50 districts of Bangkok are under a general threat of being inundated when a high tide and excess runoff from up the Chao Phraya River reaches Bangkok over the next 24 hours. Meteorologists estimate that the water level on the Chao Phraya River will peak on 29 October. The unusually high tide is expected to seriously test the already strained flood walls and canals in the central downtown districts of Thailand. A smaller high tide has already flooded the Chinatown area within the Samphanthawong district. Other areas, such as the southern Bang Phli district where Suvarnabhumi Airport (VTBS/BKK) is located, are not considered to be under imminent threat of being overrun by the excess flow of flood water.
Suvarnabhumi Airport is still open and operational, although some flight disruptions have already occurred due to an influx of thousands of travelers attempting to get flights out of Bangkok. Flood canals and holding basins on the airport grounds are reportedly under great stress, and Japanese transportation officials who have been called in to monitor the operations at the airport are concerned that the flooding will breach the perimeter walls. Although it is not likely that the surge in floods on 29 October will directly threaten the airport, operations may still be shut down in the coming days if the main runways and apron areas become flooded.
Government officials are still advising all Bangkok residents to leave the city as a precaution if they have the ability to safely and effectively evacuate before the expected surge. Furthermore, for the first time on 28 October authorities imposed a mandatory evacuation for residents in some districts in the northern areas of Bangkok. Police officers in small boats have been going house to house to order any residents inside to leave. The city is currently under a government-declared holiday until 31 October that was implemented to allow residents the opportunity to evacuate and move to higher ground.
Massive traffic jams are blocking main highways leading south out of Bangkok as to millions of residents are trying to leave the city by car. Trains out of the city are operating sporadically, and there are unconfirmed reports that the nationwide rail network may be shut down because transportation officials are unable to safely manage trains carrying millions of residents fleeing the flooding. While many foreign travelers and expatriates have already chosen to leave the city over the past week, hotels in Bangkok have been packing sandbags around the buildings to protect guests in preparation for the rising water. Water levels raging anywhere from 3 ft/1 m and up to 10 ft/3 m could deluge some areas of the city.
Our missionaries Brook, Sara & Hailey Sarver are safe in another part of Thailand. They have left their home after moving their belongings to the 2nd floor. It may be a few weeks before they are able to return home. Pray for them and their witness to Thai people during this challenging time.

BIG Day in India--83 baptisms!!
Last Sunday, September 25, a new church in the northern Malda district of West Bengal, India celebrated the dedication of a new church with the baptism of 83 new believers! Despite heavy rains during the early part of the day, curious crowds from neighboring villages gathered to see and hear the gospel.
Our India Field Director Samir Singha describes it as "almost like a web movement" with new believers informing their relatives who told others...who told others...
These new believers are from the Santal tribe. They are daily laborers who cultivate the land. Most came from an animist religious background. They will need spiritual nurture and discipleship.
Malda has become a very responsive field. The typical field evangelist in that area is earning less than $15 US per month...and yet is seeing an abundant harvest for his efforts. Compare that to the money spent here with so few results!
Your support for CC 2720 India Churches & Evangelism is making a difference and will assist this life-changing ministry.

Ken & Betty McIntyre Begin Haiti Internship
Ken & Betty McIntyre from the Leadwood Church of God (Missouri) arrive in Haiti tomorrow (the 7th) to begin a 3-month missionary internship in preparation for longer term service. They will be living at Borel and assisting visiting teams as volunteer Hospitality Services Coordinators.
Both Ken and Betty have retired from careers in public education. They have previously served on short-term teams to Haiti, Kenya, and the Southwest. They participated in the very first "Here Am I" weekend a few years ago and began to realize God's call to serve more long-term. Since then, they have served in the Western and Midwest Regions as Missions Advancement Volunteers for CGGC Cross-Cultural Ministries. This summer they completed three weeks of intensive study at Mission Training International in Colorado in preparation for their Haiti assignment.
We welcome the McIntyres to the Project Help staff! Please pray for them as they arrive, set-up their living space this week, and began to adjust to their new surroundings.

San Juan Celebrations!
Gualfal neighborhood group |
Christina Acosta, Dora & Juan Herrera and their daughter |
On the 18th, I preached in the Gualfal neighborhood of San Juan. Here one of five outreach groups of the 12th of October congregation meets in a carport. The group is pastored by Carlos & Tairy Fernandez.
San Sebastian Church |
We went to San Sebastian church on the 19th where I was asked to provide an overview of our CGGC missions work.
Santa Rosa congregation |
On Saturday, the 20th, we brought greetings in the Santa Rosa neighborhood church which is also rapidly outgrowing its facility (that formerly was a bar).
Drug Rehab Center at Cante Gallo |
Later we drove out to Cante Gallo to visit a drug rehab center which the church in that community helps to staff. It was encouraging to see how the congregation is ministering and giving hope to the residents.
We were back at the 12th of October neighborhood church on Saturday night for their 1st anniversary celebration. Despite heavy rains early in the evening, the enthusiasm of the people spilled out into the street with music and praise! These people know how to celebrate!!
Travis and I had the pleasure of participating in baptisms on Sunday morning. Thirteen candidates gave testimony to their new life in Christ and were baptized in an outdoor setting.
Then Sunday night, we joined with over 250 worshippers at the Admirable God Evangelical Church. What a thrill it was for me to preach there in their new facility.
The Churches of God, General Conference organization in Venezuela was officially registered with the government there earlier this year. Organic church planting has really “taken off” in Venezuela. We now have at least 12 churches there. Pastoral couples Juan & Dora Herrera and Liarxis & Mara Alcala are spearheading that multiplication effort with Caleb & Christina Acosta mentoring and encouraging these key leaders. I thank the Lord for what He is doing through these gifted leaders!!
Baptisms in Brazil
Our Good News Church in Santo Antonio de Jesus, Bahia celebrated baptisms this past Sunday Aug. 28th.
Pastor Samuel is baptizing here.
We rejoice in how the Lord continues to add to His church those who are being saved!!

Our 1st California Work Team to Haiti
The first Haiti work team from our California churches just returned home this week. The team consisted of (L to R): Michael Hopper (Manteca), Pastor John Burns (Wheatland), Ryan Cooney (Manteca), Jesus Gaspar (Fallbrook), and Matthew Hulsey (Wheatland). Note: It's always a good idea to have Jesus on your missions work team!!
Their project was to build the supporting rafters and complete the roof to an addition on one of the stone houses on the Borel compound. (Ken & Betty McIntyre from Missouri will arrive in early September and live in that house.) Despite the threat of tropical storm Emily and intense heat and humidity, the team worked diligently to complete the project. In addition, they visited church sites at Borel, Chandelle, Savane Tapion, Elim, Frecyneau, and Verettes. They also visited our medical facilities at Pierre Payen. Their interaction with Haitians and missionaries was a special blessing to the team. Pray for the group as they face the challenge of trying to communicate what they saw and experienced with their families and churches back home.
During a visit to Pierre Payen, the team saw the new composting toilet designed by missionary Peter Craig (Clean Water for Haiti Charities Organization-Canada) and funded by a grant from Kind World Foundation, thanks to CGGC contacts in Pennsylvania. The toilet will be used by patients in our maternity ward at the Pierre Payen Clinic.

Baptisms at the Park!
On Saturday, July 16th, members of the three Latino churches in eastern Pennsylvania--Columbia, Middletown, and New Holland--gathered for a picnic and baptism in Pine Grove Furnace State Park. While many local residents were swimming in Lake Fuller and relaxing on the beach, four converts shared their testimony and were baptized. This scene at one end of the swimming area, accompanied by singing and praying, provided a powerful witness to those who were watching.
Here's a video of one of the baptisms:
We give thanks for the leadership of Pastors Caleb & Christina Acosta who have not only provided leadership in raising up these ministries but who have also spearheaded growing clusters of new churches in Venezuela and Dominican Republic. This weekend, a group from these PA Latino churches are in South Carolina to encourage a newer Spanish-speaking church there. If you want to encourage the Acostas in their expanding ministry, please pray for them and prayerfully consider supporting them financially (CC 2764 Acostas). Gracias!

Hailey Sarver Arrives Ahead of Schedule
Sara Sarver had an emergency C-section earlier today in Bangkok, Thailand. HAILEY was born at 3:07pm (July 20th). She's only 5 lbs, 4 ozs and about 19 inches long but, (according to Daddy Brook) she is healthy, breathing well, eating, etc. Sara is doing well following the surgery. Hailey arrived about 3 weeks early. (This won't be the last time she surprises her parents!) Congratulations to the Sarver family!!

How to Be a World-Class Christian
Paul Borthwick's "classic" resource How to Be a World-Class Christian: Becoming Part of God's Global Kingdom has been revised. Purpose-Drive Life author Rick Warren says, "This should be read by every Christian!"
What does Scripture say about God's heart for the nations? What does it mean to be a "world-class Christian?" What will it cost me? How does all this impact my lifestyle? How does prayer influence the kingdom? How can we make a global difference locally? These and many other questions are addressed with a biblical perspective. With 13 chapters and discussion questions at the end of each chapter, this is an ideal book for Sunday School classes or small groups.
How to Be a World-Class Christian is now available from CGGC Publications for $14.00, plus shipping. Contact Kris at publications@cggc.org to order your copy.

Baptisms in Maui
Last fall, David & Kenda Kapaku were approached by the Kahana Door of Faith to provide leadership and Biblical teaching during a revitalization process. The church is located in the northwest section of Maui near where the Kapakus live. Since then, the Lord has blessed the church with greater unity and a growth in attendance (up to 100 on Sundays.
This native Hawaiian church celebrated the baptism of 11 believers in the ocean at Kahana Bay on Easter Sunday.
Another 5 persons were baptized on June 12th!
Baptisms at the ocean provide a great opportunity to enjoy a cookout--to nourish relationships as well as bodies.
Campo Grande Church Celebration
Construction on the new Campo Grande church facility in Campinas, Brazil continues, but significant progress has been made on the first floor. Thanks to USA work teams (such as Hanover 1st Church of God, ERC) and contributions to CC 2804.100 which have blessed this ministry.
Last Sunday night, June 25th, 114 persons gathered at Campo Grande for worship. One new believer was added to the membership and a couple dedicated their new baby.
Twelve persons (pictured right) from the Sao Paulo Park church in Araraquara made the three hour trip to Campinas to celebrate with the Campo Grande church.

Bon Repos Church in Haiti Rebuilt!
When the 2010 earthquake hit Haiti, the greatest damage inflicted upon our Churches of God ministry facilities was at Bon Repos, located on the north edge of Port-au-Prince. Their school was totally collapsed, and the church building sustained significant damage. Fortunately, the timing of the quake at 4:53 p.m. meant that school was out for the day, and the building was empty.
The church building has been replaced. The walls (pictured here) are now up, waiting on the trusses (and roofing) which are now being constructed. This past week, another team was up in the mountains at Borne to repair the damage that church building sustained during the quake. In the coming weeks, additional teams will tackle other repair projects.
We thank God for the generosity of the USA church in providing sufficient emergency funds to complete this job as well as make repairs to other facilities!!

The Cape Town Commitment
The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization last October brought together 4,200 evangelical leaders from 198 countries for the purpose of challenging the global church to bear witness to Jesus Christ and all His teaching.
The Cape Town Commitment is (in part) the fruit of that endeavor and builds on the historic 1974 Lausanne Covenant which has been widely endorsed throughout the evangelical world. The "Commitment" has two parts: (1) FOR THE LORD WE LOVE: biblical convictions based on the Scriptures, and (2) FOR THE WORLD WE SERVE: a call to action. This new document will serve as a roadmap for The Lausanne Movement over the next ten years. It focuses on the primary truths (which unite the evangelical church) rather than those secondary issues (where sincere Christians disagree in their interpretation of what the Bible teaches or requires).
A PDF version of The Cape Town Commitment can be downloaded from http://www.lausanne.org/ctcommitment. A study guide is being prepared and will be available in 2012.
This document serves as an excellent tool for theological study and small group discussion. You are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable resource which calls us back to the Scriptures and out into the world.

Exposing a False Gospel
The church is often guilty of "taking potshots" at its own. If you're like me, you've grown weary of believers who criticize other Christians just because they differ in their style of worship or their emphasis on a particular teaching of the Bible. We don't have to agree on everything and can still work together as long as we are committed to the essentials of the gospel. However, when a wildly popular interpretation of the Bible is a distortion of the gospel, then we should not only distance ourselves from it but expose it for what it is.
Such is the case of what is commonly called "the prosperity gospel." You may know it as the "word of faith" movement, the "health and wealth" gospel, the "name it and claim it" gospel, or (my favorite) the "blab it and grab it" gospel. This teaching has not only permeated the American church but has been exported around the world via satellite broadcasts. I have seen its influence and heard of its devastating affects, especially in the African and Latin American church where fervently committed evangelical Christians have been considered 2nd-class believers for not adopting this popular viewpoint. How popular? When “fifty of the largest two hundred sixty churches in the United States promote the prosperity gospel” (p.15), then it has become a major influence in shaping Christian culture. So why isn't more being said and done in the evangelical church to refute this false gospel?
A much needed response has now been provided by authors David W. Jones and Russell S. Woodbridge in Health, Wealth & Happiness: Has the prosperity gospel overshadowed the gospel of Christ? (Kregel, 2011). Their scholarly research critiques the movement in the first part of the book by identifying the historic foundations, the core teachings, and the many errors of the prosperity gospel proponents. The authors identify five areas where this teaching departs from the Biblical norm by emphasizing: 1) a distorted view of God, 2) an elevation of mind over matter, 3) an exalted view of mankind, 4) a focus on health and wealth, and 5) an unorthodox view of mankind. The most influential voices in this broad movement are cited on various topics but Jones and Woodbridge are careful to divide them into two camps: radical proponents (such as Kenneth Hagin and Kenneth Copeland); and soft advocates (including Rod Parsley, Creflo Dollar, Paula White, Joel Osteen, T. D. Jakes, and Joyce Meyer) whose messages tend to be more orthodox in content. But the very popular Osteen, who pastors the largest church in America, is singled out in this book for how he “…misinterprets Scripture, misunderstands the gospel, and lacks theological conviction” (p. 73). Strong words indeed!
In the second part of the book, the authors provide a solidly biblical corrective on three major topics twisted by prosperity advocates: avoiding suffering, accumulating wealth and prosperity, and giving that is selfishly motivated. Contrary to the prosperity message, 1) suffering is unavoidable in this world and has the potential for enormous value in our lives; 2) the biblical gospel admonishes us to avoid the accumulation of great personal wealth while others around us are in need; and 3) God does bless the generous giver but giving to get more is not a motive which He has endorsed. This section provides a positive balance to the criticisms identified in the first part of the book.
I highly recommend this book for pastors, teachers and leaders who are confronted and/or confused by the false claims of the prosperity gospel movement. End of chapter “summary points,” detailed endnotes, and scriptural and subject indexes make this book a helpful, well-documented resource. The authors not only speak prophetically in exposing a false gospel; they also affirm the truth in a convincing manner. We need that on such a day as this when we contemplate Christ’s suffering and sacrifice.

Progress on Church Buildings in Brazil
Construction on the Campo Grande Church in Campinas continues. The congregation long ago outgrew the carport where they were meeting. Though the new facility is not entirely under roof, a 2nd floor provides some covering for worshippers on the ground floor. Pastor Jimenez expresses appreciation for special funding this year from USA churches which have made this progress possible. Work teams have also been a blessing! Home construction in the Campo Grande area continues to explode providing increased opportunity to reach out to more families with the Good News of the Gospel. Visitors come every week! Pray for this ministry.
Further north in the state of Tocantins, we have two churches in the capital city of Palmas. The Santo Amaro church is on the north side of the city, and the Taquari church is on the south side near the airport. This building (right) makes possible expanded ministry in this growing neighborhood. A 2nd floor is planned. Work teams are welcome to assist this project.
Funding for Brazil Church Ministries should be designated for CC 2804.

New Assignment for Pastor William Primè
The CCM Commission recently approved Pastor William Primè of Orlando, FL to become the newest Project Help missionary to Haiti. Today the Administrative Council of the Churches of God in Haiti endorsed that appointment.
In accepting this Pastoral Advisor assignment, Pastor Primè is returning to his homeland to focus on making disciples and developing leaders. He will initiate training opportunities for the Conference as well as local churches, including reopening the Saint-Marc Bible Institute which he co-founded as a pastor in Haiti. His role will be similar to Pastors Mark Hosler and Dale Miller who previously served as pastoral advisors coming alongside the Haiti Conference to assist, equip and encourage.
While serving the Pierre Payen Church of God, Pastor Primè became the first President of the newly formed Haiti Conference in 1997. He later moved to Orlando, FL and pastored L’Eglise Evangelique Bethesda Church which affiliated with the CGGC. He has continued as a frequent seminar leader and interpreter in Haiti as well as the States. In 2009, Pastor Primè was appointed as volunteer Haitian Ministries Field Representative for the CGGC. At present, he is completing doctoral work at Florida Christian University.
Pastor and Madame Isemenè Primè have three children: Robenson, Gestanie, and Jordanny; and three grandchildren.
The Primès do need prayer and financial partners before beginning this assignment. Support should be designated for CC 2746 Pastor William & Isemenè Primè Support. Thank you for prayerfully considering this vital role.

News from JAPAN
I trust that you and your churches have been praying for the people of Japan throughout this past weekend. The 8.9 magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami have devastated portions of the northeast coastline. Thousands are dead as bodies begin to wash up on shore. Nearly 2,000 more were injured. At least 1,500 are still missing. There have been more than 150 aftershocks. Throughout the weekend, the crisis escalated with explosions at a nuclear power plant. Millions are without food, safe drinking water, and heat in near-freezing temperatures. Aid has been slow in arriving due the enormity of the crisis and the destroyed infrastructure in the area.
We have affiliate missionaries in Japan. They are Ray & Georgia Landis from Madison Church of God (Great Lakes Region) serving with The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM). I wrote them this morning and got this response: "All the pastors of TEAM churches in the devastated area have been contacted and are safe. Ray went to the grocery store last night to get some supplies. The faces of the customers looked so dark and hopeless. The only thing they can do is hoard their supplies of food and basic necessities. Please pray that we will be in the right place at the right time to give hope to those who have no one to go to. Pray for CRASH, Christian Relief Assistance Support and Hope, an organization started several years ago to help during times like this. Several TEAM missionaries are directly involved in this disaster relief organization. If you have a Facebook account you will find updates at CRASH Love On Japan."
According to the TEAM website, "...all TEAM personnel are accounted for and safe. Transportation infrastructure, telephone and cell phone communications are being restored. One TEAM missionary reports: “Gas is being rationed, batteries and food staple supplies are low in stores, and we anticipate planned electricity outages, but otherwise our lives are almost normal. This isn't true for tens of thousands of Japanese...."
We received inquiries soon after the tsunami warnings in regard to the Kapakus in Hawaii and the Sarvers in Thailand. Their locations were not impacted by the tsunami, and both couples are fine.
If you or your church wish to contribute to the relief efforts in Japan, I would encourage direct assistance to one of four evangelical organizations:
Pray for the relief workers, that God would grant them safety and stamina. Pray for the Christians of Japan that they would be able to mobilize relief efforts and provide for people's needs, both physical and spiritual. Nearly 70% of the Japanese claim no personal religion, even though the influences of Buddhism and Shintoism dominate society. Christians make up less than 2% of the population. Pray that the response of Christian aid organizations will open hearts and minds to the one Source of love and mercy. Thank you!

Dental Professionals Requested!
Two dental teams are being scheduled for Haiti this fall. Here is the information from team leader Michael Wheeler:
Blessed to be a blessing,
Don Dennison, Director
CGGC Cross-Cultural Ministries
missions@cggc.org
- A Sept. 17-24 team will serve at Borel, Haiti. A dentist, an assistant, a hygienist and a couple support personnel are already committed to this team. We can use additional dental professionals (dentist, assistant, hygienist) as well as a few support personnel.
- A second team is lined up for the following week (Sept. 24 - Oct 1) probably in Pierre Payen, Haiti. There are currently two dentists considering this week. Two dental assistants and a couple support people are already committed to go. We can use additional dental professionals (dentist, assistant, hygienist) as well as a few support personnel.
At this point both teams will be limited to a total of 12 people. First priority has to go to the dentists; after that the next priority is to staff 2 assistants/dentist or at least 3 assistants per 2 dentists. Next would be hygienists and then 2-3 support personnel per team. We would like to fill both of these teams with at least 2 dentists, 3-5 assistants, 2-4 hygienists and 2-3 support personnel, but we will take whatever size team that we can recruit.
If you are considering either of these teams, it would be helpful to know that within the next couple weeks. Please email Michael at dental teams and indicate which date you prefer. Thanks!

UnveilinGLORY Seminar this Saturday!
I will be presenting a full 5-session UnveilinGLORY seminar at Union Chapel Church of God this Saturday, March 12 from 9:00am - 3:00pm. The church is located at 17983 CR A, Bryan, OH. Sometimes referred to as Cat 'n Dog Theology, a UnveilinGLORY seminar seeks to bring Christians to a point where glorifying God becomes their passion…and to take that passion to the nations. The material really impacted my life when I was first exposed to it in 2003. I’ve seen the perspective of Christians radically altered by the Bible’s truth about God’s glory and our relationship to it.
The seminar is FREE, including lunch. Please contact Pastor Jim Wilder wilderj@findlay.edu if you are coming so they can make adequate preparations for lunch.
To view sample videos of the content, go to UnveilinGLORY videos.

Steve Mossburg reports that the Andy & Theresa Snyder family have moved into the house on the Borel compound that was being prepared for them. The Snyders are currently on a 3-month assignment to assist with a heavy schedule of teams in Haiti through the winter months. They will return to the States in early spring to continue support raising and their training at Mission Training International. Their support account is CC 2765. Pray for them as they continue preparation for full-time placement.
The New Beginnings Church (MRC) team returns back to the States from Haiti today. Pray for them, especially as air travel attempts to get back to "normal" in the aftermath of the blizzard in the midwest.
Pastor Joseph in Kenya communicated over the weekend that areas of the country are again being impacted by drought and famine. This is true for churches east of Nairobi as well as in other areas. He shared that he is presently hosting three families in his church who have been looking for food. Four of the churches have been left without pastors who have gone to look for jobs in other towns to feed their families. He says the government is sending relief but it is barely enough. $600 was requested to help provide emergency relief for the worst cases. Funds are being sent this week from our Kenya Ministries account. If you wish to assist in replenishing these funds so we can respond to additional needs, please designate CC 2831 and send to: CGGC, P.O. Box 926, Findlay, OH 45839.

Through our relationship with New Life Stockholm and New Life Gothenburg churches in Sweden, their Harvest Field Tour group will be making some CGGC stops during their month-long visit to the States in March. The purpose of the tour group of 8 persons (led by Pastor John van Dinther) is to communicate in creative and relevant ways the need for missionaries, prayer and financial support for the planting of churches in Sweden, especially in the capital city of Stockholm. Their presentations will feature video, a concert or worship experience, testimonies, and a report on how God is at work through church planting in Sweden. Their CGGC itinerary will include:
Monday, February 28 Tulip Church of God (MRC) 7 p.m. (home church of Jim & Kasie Brinson, who just completed serving 1 year in Gothenburg)
Tuesday, March 1 Winebrenner Theological Seminary Sharing over pizza between evening classes and during vespers
Wednesday, March 2 Findlay Area Rally at WTS TLB Auditorium 7 p.m.
Thursday, March 3 Mt. Pleasant Church of God (ARC) 7 p.m.
Friday, March 4 Middletown First Church of God (ERC) 7 p.m. (home church of Kara Shifler, who did an internship in Gothenburg)
If you live in any of these areas, plan now to hear this special presentation. You will be glad you did!
Special need: The Sweden team needs a 12-passenger van for this CGGC portion of their tour. Renting might be an option, but if your church has a van available for all or some of these days, please call me (419.424.1961) to discuss it.
New prayer cards for Donna Binkley and Doug & Anna-Karin Molgaard will be sent out soon to all churches and donors. Thanks so much for your partnership with these and all CCM missionaries.
Caleb & Christina Acosta and I just had a wonderful weekend in California visiting three of the churches. Caleb preached at the quarterly meeting of the Eldership held at Farmersville, and then at Fallbrook on Sunday morning and at San Diego on Sunday afternoon. Christina also sang during those worship services. This provided a great opportunity for the Acostas to connect with the Latino pastors. We rejoice that the Latino churches there are growing and planning to plant more churches. Continue to pray for the Thermal church which is being forced to find another location in which to worship (due to "imminent domain" being exercised over the building they have been renting for some years).
